What is the difference between a brushed motor and a brushless DC motor?

Brushed Motor
It is a DC motor with a simple structure that starts moving just by turning on the power. Therefore, it is easy to use and inexpensive.
However, the presence of brushes also comes with disadvantages, such as reduced efficiency due to wear, a shorter lifespan, and noise when in operation.

Brushless DC Motor
This motor is electronically controlled by detecting the rotor position. The rotor position is detected and controlled by a sensor, achieving efficient and quiet operation. As no brushes are required, there is no need to worry about wear and tear, and it can operate even quieter.
