Shinko Shoji and FARADAY TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION have signed a distributorship agreement.

Shinko Shoji Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsuya Ogawa; hereinafter, "Shinko Shoji") has signed a distributorship agreement with FARADAY TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION (hereinafter, "FTC").

FTC is a fabless ASIC and silicon IP (intellectual property) provider established in 1993 as an independent entity from UMC (United States Microelectronics Corporation). Headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan, FTC has technical support bases around the world, including the United States, Japan, China, India, and Vietnam. In 2023, FTC will ship 120 million ASIC chips annually around the world, provide 22,000 silicon wafers, and provide IP customization services.

Both companies will combine FTC's cutting-edge ASIC products with our accumulated ASIC design and development capabilities, focusing on industrial and automotive customers, to contribute to the realization of low-power, high-performance customer systems. Going forward, we aim to sell FTC products at a scale of 15 billion yen per year by 2027.

At a meeting between the two companies on August 1, FTC President Steve Wang said, "FTC will strengthen its activities with the aim of expanding its ASIC business in the office automation and industrial and automotive fields, where Japanese companies are leading the global market. We believe that collaborating with Shinko Shoji, which has extensive experience in these fields, will create significant synergies."

Furthermore, our President and CEO, Tatsuya Ogawa, commented, "As systems become more sophisticated, the demand for and importance of cutting-edge ASICs is increasing further. We will collaborate with FTC, which has a strong track record and advanced technical capabilities in the ASIC field, to provide leading companies in a wide range of business fields with excellent solutions."
