Canon's CMOS sensors have multiple pixels, ultra-high sensitivity, and HDR capabilities, and are characterized by their ability to capture clear, beautiful images even in dark places.
The demand for surveillance cameras, industrial robots, infrastructure inspection cameras for monitoring the quality of manufacturing lines (for scratches, etc.) and deterioration of equipment, wearable cameras, etc. is on the rise, and there is a growing need for image sensors that can capture high-quality images even in situations with large differences in light and dark. Furthermore, surveillance camera systems and the like require image sensors that are compact, simple, lightweight, and consume less power.
Product Features
Ultra-high pixel count
These are ultra-high pixel products with 120 million and 250 million micropixels.
The 250-megapixel sensor achieves a resolution 125 times that of full HD, making it possible to capture distant subjects in high definition using only electronic zoom. It is also possible to read out only the area of interest at the speed of sound.
High-definition photography of distant objects possible using only electronic zoom
Intended Use
Ultra-high sensitivity
This is a 35mm full size ultra-high sensitivity product.
Although the pixel size is large at 19um, low noise and high speed readout is possible.
Compared to conventional products, sensitivity in the near-infrared region has been improved, making it possible to capture unevenness up to 20 to 30 meters ahead, while also enabling simultaneous capture of images with ultra-high sensitivity and high speed.
Simultaneous ultra-high sensitivity shooting and high-speed shooting (98 fps)
Intended Use
HDR function
The product can recognize color differences even in low-light conditions of 0.08 lux, and its HDR function means it can handle environments with extreme differences in light and dark.
It is possible to capture high quality images even in situations with high contrast, and achieve a wide dynamic range while achieving low noise.
Shooting in low light conditions
Naked eye image
2MHDR sensor HDR image
