Seoul Semiconductor develops and commercializes LEDs for the automotive, general lighting, specialty lighting, and backlighting markets. As the world's third largest LED manufacturer, Seoul Semiconductor holds more than 14,000 patents and offers a wide range of technologies and products. Our products include SunLike, a natural spectrum LED that provides the world's best light quality; WICOP, a package-free LED with an extremely simple structure that achieves market-leading color uniformity and cost reduction; and WICOP, the world's first high-voltage AC-driven LED technology developed in 2005 that can be manufactured from chips to modules.
We have many innovative proprietary technologies, such as Acrich, which covers all AC LED-related technologies from circuit manufacturing to multi-junction technology (MJT), nPola, a new LED product based on GaN substrate technology that can achieve more than 10 times the output of conventional LEDs, and UCD, which configures high color gamut displays that achieve more than 90% of NTSC.
